I'll start with Tom Cruise.
I'm starting to see him everywhere, and it's freaking me out. Like, first of all, they mentioned him on Mtv or something, Vh1, idk. Then, it turns out he's in Tropic Thunder. So I hear about him when Jon Stewart interviews Ben Stiller on the Daily Show (one of my favorite programs). Then, this morning, I was half asleep and watching a china vs. usa volleyball game. The half-sleeping part of me dreamt that Tom Cruise was a referee in said volleyball game.
And the final straw...
RIGHT NOW, as I write, there is an advertisement for "Tom Cruise. 25 Years." I'm not sure what that is but there's a picture of him in the army in a plane with a flag behind him.
So TC's freaking me out. But overall, I'm a fan, so it's okay.. for now.

I went school supply shopping yesterday!!
Got my schedule too, but it's REALLY messed up.
Not telling anyone my classes until I get it fixed.
My supplies are pretty awesome. Must stay organized this year!

I also went school clothes shopping. mom's giving me $220 to get clothes to start off the school year. Spent $75 so far.

to do before school starts:
-dump cory
-get more clothes
-start eating healthy again/begin excercise regimen
-practice dance before i start up b.funk again.
-right my name on all my school stuff
-review last years notes for class
-look into getting a geometry tutor because i suck at math
-do laundry so all clothes are clean
-organize one last beach trip!

-go to ikea to get room furniture/stuff & clean room
-savor the last sweet moments of summer before i have to get my ass in gear for high school.

Last summer, I never wanted it to end. I was at RSAI and it ended like a week before school started.
Right now, I DO want school to start. I'm excited!! RSAI was SO fun and I had to leave all the people behind, like Marilyn and Greta and Taylor, etc. But now I'm not in any camps right before school starts so I'm pretty much bored and missing people.

I've saved 13 movie tickets starting January 11th, all from movies I've gone to with friends. I'm missing alot though, becuase I tend to lose tickets, which sucks, but i still think it's a good collection idea. at the end of high school, I wonder how many I'll have (:

Ok, what's going on with other people:

Oji's ignoring me, partly because we got in an arguement and partly because he's immature and djsfsjhdfj retarted. The immature part comes from him texting frank telling frank "im ignoring sarah xD ignore her!". Luckily, frank's not an idiot, and told oji that he wasn't gonna ignore me also. Oji means alot to me as a friend and it sucks that he could just start ignoring me like that (been 2days) but it's also childish of him and makes me really not care if he does it, because it shows the kindof person he is.
Plus, he can't do ANYTHING to me, and the ignoring me thing will blow over soon.
I'm sure of this because I know things about Oji that almost no one else knows, not even (ESPECIALLY not) his girlfriend (lucy, duh). He SHOULD know better than to get on my bad side. I could get him to stop ignoring me immediately by just threatening to tell lucy one of his secrets, but... I'll wait and see how he handles this on his own.

Bidisha's mad at Frank for THE funniest reason. Frank made an animation online on this sketch star thing/game, and it's a "reenactment" of david & bidisha in the basement, which was like, idk, 2weeks ago. It's really funny, except he made bidisha look black and fat and slutty. (ok doing what she did with david WAS pretty slutty though, you have to admit) And at the end, frank drew david shaking his head saying "never again".

Trying to plan beach on friday 22nd. w/sarahch. grace and xtina. grace prolly can, awaiting sarahch and xtina's replies. Cool little beach spot my mom and I found when we got lost across the bay bridge a few years ago. Quaint.

Mummy on sunday w/people. It's a "maybe"/indefinite plans. It better happen though because my mom rescheduled my flight to my aunts house in SC (she's really my mom's best friend who's like an aunt) from 11am to 9pm to go.
I normally wouldn't care if I missed it, but Oji's going, and I don't think he has the courage to ignore me face to face. Plus he'll look like a total douchebag either way.
A-he TRIES to ignore me face-to-face and he looks ridiculously immature and stupid, especially in front of lucy.
B-he doesn't ignore me, proves he only has the courage ONLINE which is SO lame, plus, he'll still look childish cuz everyone there knows he's supposedly ignoring me.

My aunt/moms bff, Joanna, spoils me rotten.
She emailed my mom asking if there was anything she wasn't allowed to buy me, saying "i know she's broken things in the past you don't want to be replaced until a birthday or christmas" referencing the THREEE ipods ive lost/broken/been stolen.
So she'd like, buy me a new iPod for no reason. She's the one who got me my first cell phone. AND she has a sweet tooth. AND a two month old little adorable son (aiden chandler parker- CUTEST NAME EVERRR). 
So when i visit, sunday-wednesday, it's gonna be SO much fun (:

i went to a kick-ass sleepaway adventure camp, two parties, a few movies w/ppl, two kids on campus camps, and other assorted stuff.
but it's been pretty cool.
sucks is, whenever i DONT have something to do, im like boredd as crap (:
discovered some music. reconnected with old friend whos going into 11th. dating this guy who was my friend at camp, and first guy ive grinded with.. lol... but i like this other guy, who's going into 8th grade. :P. nervous about high school. miss everyone ;]

friend i previously mentioned is giving me good advice for high school.
pretty nervous.
im not stupid enough to care about like, checking facebook when i should do hw though. ive got prioritizing down! lol.
so ive just gotta be a dork. =]

ok so todays "career research"
the outcome of the cross-reference of my 'field of work' test results, personality test results, and my own opinions leaves me with seven best careers:
-anthropologist

-fashion coordinator
And the careers that. according to my test, i'm not supposed to like, include:
-behavioral psychologist/therapist. (actually i got stuff like this but not those exact words. and therapy is kinda not my thing, since i don't love helping people.)

-lawyer (similar to lobbyist)
-criminal profiler (like that dorky blond-haired dude on the tv show Criminal Mind. but i'd be cooler, duh [: )

Ok i'll write what i want my life to be, and i'll check it in like, 10yrs, and see how similar the two are.

I live in France (no not Paris, but close). I own a penthouse apartment with a great view, and I went to college at Columbia or UCLA. My job is either criminal profiler, lobbyist, or fashion coordinator for a magazine or something. I won't get married until I'm at least 28. No kids 'til I'm 30. I still take/teach dance. The car I drive is a Mini Cooper Convertible ;). Hmm... Still keep in touch with people. I guess that's it.

my teacher just told us that air traffic controllers earn an average of $100,000 a year.
wtf that's alot for someone who just waves freaking orange flags around.

Northbay '08
--northbay is one of those life-changing things you come across rarely in your life.
--it's a week-long sleep away summer camp.
--it's normally $1000 but my dad gets a discount through work.
--the camp has a ropes course, land&water zip line, wakeboarding, tubing, trapeze, beach, bonfires, great food, people yelling their cabin cheers during meals, 'northbay live' the interactive night show, rock climbing, sailing, drama/dance, a country fair, dances, mountaineering, pioneering, land sports, swimming, A/C in the comfy cabins, and it was the most fun i've had in a week in my life (:
--they also have counsel. where you and some cabins get together as group at a spot in the woods at night, around a campfire, and talk about your experience at camp. you do that same thing during 'cabin time' which is back in your cabin with the small group of just your cabinmates.

--one q was 'what was your biggest achievement or challenge this week?'
my answer was 'the trapeze'. It's really high in the air, and scary. like real circus-size. After i jumped off the platform, holding the bar, they yell you commands. I was already proud that i had actually jumped, then they tell you to hold on and swing your legs over the bar then let go with your hands and hang by your legs. then you're supposed to put your hands back up, legs down, jump off and do a backflip, then land in the net. The first time, i couldnt do either. the second time, i did both. it rocked.
--we got a challenge for cabin time one day to learn two interesting facts about a staff member.
i asked ian, my supersexy rock-climbing instructor. he likes bob marley, can tight rope walk, and has been rock climbing for two years (he's CRAZY freaking good.)
--another q was about what we were learning from northbay.
the place was so cool, and i really did learn the stuff i talked about in my answer. you have to get to know people and bond in a really short amount of time. by the end of the week, my friends in my cabin and me were SO close. another thing i got out of northbay is how to challenge myself. there's alot at camp you think at first that you can't do (like the trapeze) but you get pushed to the point where you have to decide if you're gonna go for it or back down. i was on a rock wall there, and i was halfway. i could barely reach any rocks and i thought that was as far as i could go. then i thought about what they tell you there, to challenge yourself. so i pushed off with my feet, let go of a rock with one hand, and basically jumped to get a high rock. after that, i made it to the top. and they tell you to reflect on that moment where you did something you thought you couldn't do, and translate that into other areas of your life. like school. and it's pretty cool, being able to reflect on how hard you pushed yourself and how good it felt to win or get to the top or whatever, and using that to motivate yourself with like, schoolwork and all of that.

there's alot more, but i don't want to bore you...

oh, and i met a guy there...

his name's cory &he's 15. i'd never grinded or slow danced w/any guy i actually liked before.
and there was a dance at camp, and we did both!
then before he left to go home, he asked for a kiss.
but it would've been a tad awkward and stuff, so i didn't.
i THOUGHT i liked him while i was at camp, but by the very end of camp, i got bored of him anyway.
he used cheesy lines like, when i was like "im scared of spiders" he hugged me and said he'd protect me. puh-lease.

but, for my first slowdance &first time grinding, that actually counts, i'd say i did well... after all, he was two yrs older ;]

- Uhh... I can't really remember the rest of what i'm supposed to be learning, cuz there's this really hot guy in the class and he's distracting me. (:
i don't know his name though! he's pretty funny. he just ran into the room (most ppl are out cuz it's break time) and was like "omg some guys giving me ten dollars for a one". I guess that means he's lucky. well... i'm irish, so i'm lucky too.
we have so much in common!
-We're gonna have to take a Myers-Briggs personality test. which i've already taken thanks to lucy.
-So hot kid came in again, he's like "anyone have change for a ten?!" so i guess that worked out for him x).

Once when i was on a plane to florida with my friend steph, i made a 'will' and a list of things id want to say to people before i die, in case the plane crashed and they found the notebook i was writing it in. My friend clara has the notebook i wrote this in, so I'd call her and tell her to tell everyone the things i'd written about them.

Not like I'd even die though, since i'd totally grab a parachute and get the hell out of the plane.

Well, a lot has happened over the past few days...
It all kinda fits into a summary of Thursday, a.k.a.,
Toby's.
Got to school, left at 9 returned around 1:30.
It was the day after Frank broke up with Grace.
She seemed fine, but Christina told me she cried in orchestra and math.
Clara got these funny pictures of her being all happy.
Unfortunately, Clara's not in math or orchestra with Grace...
On the way to Toby's, I sat with Stephanie.
A couple rows back was Frank, and one behind that was Nicki.
I was sad about my seat, but I had Stephanie at least.
Nicki still managed to talk to me across the rows.
Frank told her he liked her, but he told me on AIM it wasn't true.
When we got to Toby's, I thought we'd end up sitting by bus group.
I imagined I'd be sitting with Nicki, Terra, Frank, Stephanie, etc.
All the buses mixed up though, so I ended up a little different.
My table had me, Stephanie, Alison, Jen S., and Matt Y.
Me and Stephanie were writing this really long note on a napkin.
It had extremely personal secrets and stuff.
Stephanie and I went to the bathroom at lunch; I put the note in my purse.
When we came back, someone told us Matt and Frank had taken it.
We freaked out and eventually got it back, and they claimed they didn't read it.
They snuck into my purse, I wouldn't put it past them to lie about reading it.
Stephanie and I were extremely sad, and I started crying a little.
We got better, but we didn't talk to Frank or Matt for a while.
On the bus back, we played truth or dare.
Nicki dared the person I like to kiss me.
It was horribly awkward.
I was so embarrassed, I was just shaking my head no.
I kept looking at Nicki, as if to say stop, but her, Terra, and Taylor kept on.
Stephanie, luckily, was there for me.
Back at school, I was in French with Nicki and Clara.
I told Clara the story, and I had to stop her from telling Nicki why I was mad.
There was no way Nicki didn't know what she had done.
Then I had to partner with Rita because Clara and Bidisha had agreed to be partners.
No way was I going to partner with Nicki, anyway.
For the second time that day, I found myself crying.

Sarah Chiang, in math, was like "Sarah... you ok.. o.o"
I was so zoned.
But I was fine, because as long as I am not physically or mentally alone
I can overcome anything.

Really.
I don't cry that much, but if I'm under control and surrounded by people, at least one of whom cares about me, I'll actually like crying. Not that I want to, just that it feels fine, since there's always someone who cares about me.
Always.

Then not much comment on the Grace issue.
As long as she has me blocked, the argument's going nowhere.
And seeing as after Frank broke up with her(yea, I was on the phone with him when he did it ^.^), she deleted her Facebook. Drama queen.
But I'm not mad, and I don't hate.

It was on me and Lucy's 10 things to do before eighth grade ends list though.

TEN THINGS TO DO BEFORE THE END OF EIGHTH GRADE                                          
10. Dye my hair                                                                                    
9. Swap classes with someone                                                                     
8. Go TOTALLY crazy at a school dance, dance like you mean it.                                      
7. Ask out a seventh grader                                                                          
6.Wear pajamas and face paint to school.                                                            
5. Bring an awesome lunch to school. As in, tons of candy,                                            
 brownies, daquiri, a cake, smoothies, soda, etc.                                                    
4. Skip class with someone and go somewhere =]                                                   
3. Have a girls night out,                                                                          
2. Tell everyone what i really think.
